Humana Event Social Experiment 8/19/16

A few weeks ago I went along with the Zeehan Waze crew to the Humana Event in Nyc to show off his crop tops and Ts. Zeehan did a live painting in black and left colored paint and brushes for the rest of the party to color in.

Best. Social. Experiment. Ever.

So I'll let these images tell you what happened exactly...
First, Zeehan painted in the HMN logo and designed the layout with his marker.

Of course... I fell victim to the wall and painted for most of the night...

It was open bar and the music was lively!

Zeehan performed some freestyle dancing  sportin his fav Tshirt.

While the liquids flow in and the paint brushes out of the lines, the painting was almost completed. It really was one of those moments you had to be there to witness what was happening.  By the end of the night, most people were 'lit', in other words drunk, tipsy, intoxicated,  or faded. Most attendees painted in whatever it was they wanted to see while others got really creative. All in all, I want to say everyone left their mark that night and that was truly, altogether, beautiful.  This social experiment goes to show how human we can be.

Finally we are launching our new styles! You can get your hands on a Zeehan Wazed Crop top or tank at our Finale Friday Pop Up Shop/Show/Party this Friday August 26 4-9pm.  After then, select styles will be sold online at www.zeehanwazed.com

We've waited all month for this event and we are STOKED! There is going to be a lot of good vibes at this event including a Live Painting, Tattoos, Music, Fresh Fashion for sell, and BYOB.  Not only that, this free event is taking place in one of the hottest neighborhood lifestyle boutiques in NYC. Community 54 is big on culture and characteristic for their outdoor space behind the boutique. Their patio walls are frequently painted over with the most creative contemporary art which is where Zeehan will also be featured in that day.

Very much like its' name, Community 54 feels just that--a community. In an extraordinary way, they have found a safe haven for us to expose our creative talents as a community, for the community. They are all about influencing culture with music, fashion, and art through their carefully curated boutique and events.  We are delighted to take part in their monthly Pop Up event #FINALEFRIDAY so we hope to see you there Friday night!

Although I did not go to fashion school, I have modeled enough to know fashion from a #bts (behind the scenes) perspective and by closely working with the designers themselves.
To be honest, I am very much inspired by the many designers I have had the opportunity to work with, such as, Sarmy Reyes, Nature Vs. Future, and Recliner Ny, amongst others. That, and I took a sewing class in the eight grade that taught me the basics of a sewing machine. I have always been interested in sewing since I was a very young girl. The concept of piecing various fabrics together with a single thread really fascinated me.
I must have been 7 or 8 years old when I made my nanny teach me how to use a thread and needle. As I recall that weekend I walked around the neighborhood looking through the garage sales and found an unopened bag of little gold pillows. They must have been a craft bag for holiday decorations, they couldn't have been bigger than an inch by inch in size and each pillow stuffed with stuffing.  I don't remember how much I purchased them for but I do remember going home and cutting out the thread from all the little pillows. I separated the gold fabric and stuffing, and began sewing the gold fabrics together in the shape of a little teddy bear.
Once the little bear was all shaped up, I stuffed it. After that little project, I cut up my big teddy bear since I saw the thread was coming out from behind and I realized the big bear was just about my height. I lined up my little feet with that of the big teddy bear and thought to myself, I could use some slippers. So I cut off the feet from the big teddy bear and used them like slipper socks. I loved wearing my fluffy teddy bear sock slippers until I lost them one day at a sleepover.  I was so disappointed, I didn't touch a needle or thread until the eight grade when I saw my school offered a sewing class.  Anyways, now that I am in the biggest city for fashion, I look around and there is inspiration everywhere around me.
